Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Pockita account at any time. This wipes your profile and every record tied to it, transactions, budgets, recurring rules, savings goals, linked-bank metadata, and notification tokens. Once it's done, it can't be undone.

Delete from inside the app (recommended)

This is the fastest path and works on both iOS and Android:

• Open Pockita and sign in.
• Go to Profile (tab bar, far right).
• Scroll to the bottom and open Danger zone.
• Tap Delete account.
• Confirm by typing DELETE in the prompt and tapping Delete forever.

Your data is removed from our live database immediately and you are signed out. If you'd like a copy of your transactions first, export them via Profile → Export CSV before you delete.

Delete by email

If you can't access the app, for example, you've lost access to your sign-in email, write to privacy@pockita.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. Include:

• The account email.
• A short note confirming you want the account and all associated data permanently deleted.

We verify ownership before deleting and complete the request within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Cancel your subscription first

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your account does notcancel an active subscription. Cancel before you delete to avoid being charged for a renewal you can't use:

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Pockita → Cancel subscription.
• Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pockita → Cancel subscription.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (email, name, avatar, preferences).
• Every transaction, account, budget, recurring rule, and savings goal you created.
• Any linked-bank metadata stored with us. Plaid retains its own record of accounts you authorized, see Plaid's privacy policy for their retention details.
• Push-notification tokens registered to your devices.
• AI consent flags and any chat / insight history.

Encrypted backups containing prior states roll off within 30 days. Aggregated, fully anonymous metrics (e.g. “X total users this week”) may persist beyond that, they cannot be traced back to you.
